Energy Technocity, which is a candidate to be the greatest example of university-industry collaboration, aims to create a synergy between the foremost companies of energy sector and academical world. The agreement between ITU and energy companies was signed by the Rector of ITU Muhammed Şahin, M.D., President of TUGIAD Murat Coşkunkan, General Director of ARI Technocity Nazire Eker and Altuğ Şişman, M.D..
Rector of ITU, Muhammed Şahin, M.D., spoke in the ceremony pointed out that they presented a totally enterprising university model for the last 2 years as ITU and said, “By the end of the next year, 11.000 people will be working in ITU, for our university and Turkey doing R&D research. The number of R&D staff in Turkey is 70.000 for now. That is an unbelieveable number. That is a concrete indicator of what ITU will do.”
